My Bug Discoveries
We are starting a new activity in class! The new theme is BUGS AND INSECTS! By carrying
out four complex tasks, students will
become mini-entomologists and will write
a letter to a professional about their
bug discoveries. You can help your
child at home by reviewing the vocabulary in the VIRTUAL RESOURCE BOOKLET.

Your children will watch videos of American kids trying food from all over the world. They'll have the chance to invent their candy and describe their favourite breakfast. They'll listen to descriptions of lunches and read mini-articles about delicacies from all over the world.

The new theme is CLOTHING! We have
read the book “The Jacket I Wear in
the Snow” by Shirley Neitzel. Through
different games, your children will deepen
their understanding of clothing. Our final
task will be a description of a favourite outfit. You can help your child at home by reviewing the colours and clothing picture dictionaries in the VIRTUAL RESOURCE BOOKLET.

The Monster who Stole my Cookies
Follow Ben and his family on a quest to find the monster who stole his cookies. After completing each task, a new clue will be revealed to help you solve the mystery. In this LES, students will learn the different monster body parts, create funny monsters at the monster factory, and play monster Guess Who. Complete the 4 tasks and collect clues to find the characteristics of the monster. At home, you can review the vocabulary in the VIRTUAL RESOURCE BOOKLET as well as sing this fun song.
